Privacy Policy ...

There are 3 levels of privacy at Posterity:

Secure Personal Access

This is automatic. Your Autobiography is your site and no one else has access, unless you permit it. Access to your Autobiography is controlled by using your Membership Password. Should you believe that this has become compromised, you can change your Membership Password at anytime and as many times as you wish from within 'My Account'.

Guest Access

Together with your Membership Password, you will also register a Guest Membership Password. This you may wish to divulge to third parties for Guest Access to your Autobiography: friends, family, colleagues, dating partners etc. Guests to whom you divulge the code will be able to access those elements of your site that you select are open to view. No Guest will be able to edit any of your content. You can change your Guest Membership Password at anytime and as many times as you wish from within 'My Account'.

Guest access to each page of your Autobiography is controlled by a Private/Public security feature. Each page defaults to 'Private'. You must change the feature to 'Public' to allow Guests to view that page. For example, you may wish Guests to view your 'Favourite Things' and your 'Room 101' and your 'Desert Island Discs' but not your 'Diary'. Simply change to 'Public' the pages you wish to allow Guests to view, and remain 'Private' those you wish to keep to yourself.

Open Access

If you wish anyone in the world to view your site (but not those pages that you have determined to remain 'Private' - see above), you will find a simple 'Open Access' box to check within 'My Account'. If you check this box, visitors will be at liberty to view your site and its contents as a Guest, and your Autobiography will be displayed in the '15 Minutes Of Fame' section. No Guest will be able to edit any of your content. You can change your Open Access policy at any time from within your 'My Account' section.
